5 Ways to make the most of your conservatory

For many people, a conservatory is a dream addition to their home – a light and airy space, perfect for enjoying their gardens. A much-needed extra space in the house. And if you’ve had a conservatory built you’ll know the hassle and cost you have to go through. By the time you’ve got planning permission and had it build, many hours will have been lost and a good portion of funds will have been drained.

Can you honestly say that you are getting the most out of your conservatory for the time and money you spent on it?

Here are some 5 ways to make sure you’re really getting your monies worth.

1. Add flora

This will help to bridge the gap between outdoors and indoors, add a splash of colour and give a nice flow from your garden to your conservatory. You could even look at having some herb planters in your conservatory, meaning you’ll never be short of thyme to cook.

2. Add a colour theme

Your conservatory will be light and airy during the daytime, that’s a given. But if you want to enjoy your conservatory during the evenings you need to consider lighting. Speak to any interior designer and they will tell you that lighting can be the difference between a good space, and an amazing space. Harsh, downward spacing spotlights are not always the best way of lighting a room. Think about strategically placed lamps to add a warmer feel to the room. LED strips could also be used to add a professional atmospheric feel to the room. Also, we love the look that a LED Corner Floor Lamp gives.
